Romans 8:6 - For the carnally minded is death; But to be Spiritual minded is life and peace. (New King James Version).
But now we're delivered from seeing the requirements of the law as a means of salvation, because we're dead to the ideal that salvation can be gained by works. We are no longer slaves to what we can do to earn salvation. On the contrary, we serve God willingly and joyously with new life in the Holy Spirit.(Clear Word Translation).
However, to set the mind on the flesh brings death, whereas to set the mind on the Spirit brings life and Peace. (By Olaf M. Norlie, The New Testament, A New Translation)
William Barclay's Statement of Romans 8:6 (The Daily Study Bible Series, Letters to the Romans); There is the life that is dominated by the Spirit of God; as a man lives and breaths in the air, he lives in Christ never separated from Him. As he breaths in air and the air fills him, so Christ fills him. He has no mind of his own; Christ is his mind. He has no desire of his own; the will of Christ is his only law, He is Spirit controlled and God-focused.
A life that ignores or neglects the spiritual, is a life that is barren of purpose and weak in resolve. (Life Recovery Bible).

As a word of encouragement, God is granting favor to those with a vision for prison ministry. Consequently, souls are being won for the Kingdom of God. Jesus said in Matthew 25:35-36, "I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me in. I was naked and you gave me clothes. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me."
The apostle Paul said "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty". ( 2 Corinthians 3:17).
