"Sing for joy to God our strength; shout aloud to the God of Jacob! Begin the music, strike the tambourine, play the melodious harp and lyre. Sound the ram's horn at the New Moon, and when the moon is full, on the day of our Feast; this is a decree for Israel, an ordinance of the God of Jacob". Psalm 81.

Music Groups

Atlanta North Church Choir. Our church has the longest continuously operating choir of any Atlanta Area Seventh-day Adventist church in the Georgia-Cumberland Conference. The choir provides anthems for the church services and generally participates in three special services each year: Thanksgiving, Christmas and a program in the spring. Choir rehearsals are on Friday evenings at 7:30 in the sanctuary. The choir season parallels the school year. For more information on rehearsal and performance schedule, contact the director, Mary Anne Valenti - e-mail: valentihouse@earthlink.net, phone: 770-579-6432.

Zephyr Brass. The Atlanta North church is the rehearsal site for Zephyr Brass, an area brass group that was started by members of our congregation. Through the years the organization has grown from one group into two brass groups - the Zephyr Brass Quintet and the Zephyr Brass Choir. Information about concerts and memberships can be found at their web site, www.zephyrbrass.com, or be contacting P. Kerry Fetter, President of Zephyr Music, Inc.

Zephyr Choral Guild. The newest group spawned under the Zephyr umbrella, the Zephyr Choral Guild is a group of auditioned singers led by Music Director Robert Mills. The Guild performs a limited number of concerts each year in area churches. Contact, concert, and other information can be found at their web site, www.zephyrchoralguild.com.

Vo1ce. A select group of female singers led by Shawn Guadelupe. The group performs sacred concerts and special anthems to area churches and special events.

Panel of Organists

The Atlanta North church is the only Georgia-Cumberland Conference church in the metropolitan area to have a pipe organ. We are currently raising funds to refurbish and update the organ, including installing a new console.

The panel of organists, led by Charlene Ponder, is responsible for providing organ music to support the second worship service. We are blessed to have so many people in our congregation that volunteer for this service, including Barbara Liles, Andrei Besleaga, Glenn McElroy, and Mary Anne Valenti.
