Senior Pastor Dan Hall

Pastor Dan Hall handles administration, senior adult ministries, pastoral care, and social ministries at Atlanta North Church. He has been on the pastoral staff since 2003.

- I started the ministry after graduating from Southern University in the Pennsylvania Conference. I pastored in Pittsburgh, Hershey and Lebanon. Afer 6 years, we moved to Indiana where I pastored Evansville for 6 years and then pastored Anderson for 5 years. We left Indiana for Michigan where I pastored for 7 1/2 years in Ann Arbor. Some of the things I have enjoyed is all the different evangelists I have had the chance to work with. We have also been a part of starting up 7 new congregations.

- My wife is an RN and a graduate from Southern University. We have two married daughters. Our oldest is girl's dean at Fletcher Academy and her husband is chaplain and teaches Bible. Our second daughter teaches at Shenandoah Academy and her husband is chaplain and teaches Bible. All four attended Southern University, which makes for great ties to Southern. We are excited to be here in Atlanta and look forward to serving the Lord and His church at Atlanta North.

Assistant Pastor Jason Salyers

Pastor Jason grew up in central California until his college years, at which point he chose to attend and graduate from Southern Adventist University in Tennessee. He first received his Ministerial License in 2003 while employed by Andrews University in Michigan. The highlight of his experience at Andrews was becoming coworkers with a friend from previous years, falling in love and then marrying her.

His wife Mindy, also a graduate of Southern, grew up "all over the South," with the majority of her years in Greeneville, TN. She holds a BA in Elementary Education and, in a matter of months, a Master's in School Counseling. She is a lover of God, life, and people.

While Mindy and Pastor Jason do not yet have children, they do have (and enjoy) a very energetic golden retriever named Farley. Their hobbies include music, camping, jogging, speaking, reading and travel.

They are excited and grateful to be a part of the ministry at Atlanta North Church.

Southern Deaf Fellowship Pastor Jeff Jordan

Jeff Jordan was born deaf of an unknown cause. Upon graduating with a BA degree in Deaf Studies from California State University, Northridge, he taught American Sign Language at two community colleges for two years. Jeff felt called by God to become a minister for the Deaf, so he and his wife moved to Michigan in the summer of 1994 and enrolled at the Theological Seminary at Andrews University. Jeff is the first deaf student to graduate with a Masters of Divinity degree from Andrews University, December, 1996. He was called to plant a Deaf Church in the Atlanta area. The deaf currently worship in the chapel at the Atlanta North Church of SDA. He and his wife Melissa of 10 years have three boys with a 4th baby due in June of 2004.

Pastor Jeff's vision is to spread the love and hope of Jesus to the Deaf in the metro Atlanta area. Atlanta North Deaf Church provides an environment friendly for deaf people, using ASL (American Sign Language) as the primary mode of communication. Pastor Jeff also uses Power Point presentations during his sermons to make the worship service more visually stimulating. There are nearly 6 million deaf, or 34 million hearing impaired people living in North America, and they need to know about Jesus and His incredible love for them. Pastor Jeff loves to give Bible studies and visit deaf people at their homes, lead out small groups, train deaf members on how to minister for the Lord, and give evangelistic meetings. Pastor Jeff travels extensively through out the country, giving sermons, seminars and presentations at deaf camp meetings and churches. He also has a heart for mission work among the deaf in other countries. He has worked in India where the population of deaf people is over 19 million!

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." Matthew 24:14, NKJV

Church Secretary Alisa Lawton

I was raised in Atlanta, GA and have lived here most of my life. My family joined the Iconium Baptist church where at the age of ten I was baptized. Later my family joined the Piney Grove Baptist church where I was very active singing in the youth choir and where I remained a member until the early 1990's. In the early 1990's after a few conversations with an Adventist co-worker, I began attending the Berean Adventist church in Atlanta, GA were I was baptized into the Adventist church. I have held memberships at the Belvedere Adventist church and New Community.

Currently, I am member at the West End Adventist church located in historic West End near downtown Atlanta. I have been working as secretary at Atlanta North Church since spring of 2001.

It has been a pleasure working here at Atlanta North and befriending many of the members.
